A native of Ottawa, Ontario, Dr. MacNeill completed her BSc(Hon) at the University of Western Ontario in Pharmacology and Toxicology.  She returned to Ottawa to complete her medical school training and residency in Psychiatry.  She was certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Psychiatry in 2004.  From 2005 to 2013 she worked at the Ottawa Hospital General Campus in the adult outpatient Psychiatry service.  She has also been involved with teaching students and residents as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Ottawa. From 2006-2008 she served as the Psychiatry Site Education Director for the General Campus.  Dr. MacNeill’s clinical interests include diagnosis and management of a wide range of mental health disorders in the adult population.  She also has interests in psychotherapy including cognitive behavioural psychotherapy, interpersonal psychotherapy and acceptance and commitment therapy.  She accepts referrals from physicians only.
